Angela Tona, LMT/LMSW
Licensed Massage Therapist & Licensed Master Social Worker
Angela is a queer mental health and body worker that’s passionate about trauma recovery from all angles. As a survivor of both acute and chronic post traumatic stress, they specialize in trauma-healing modalities such as Somatic Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy. Angela also weaves threads from her lineage of Sicily with folk medicine, ritual, and reconnection with culture as a means of healing.
They offer all of this from a liberation framework--What does that mean? Well, many things. But at the core- it’s that we work from the perspective that we’re not healing unless we’re getting free from power over us. We might have specific traumas and/or responsibilities in the bigger systems of oppression. Most of the work in session focuses on what we can directly impact- our nervous system, our relationships, our capacity to hold pain, and the means to process the past to stay as present in resistance to injustice today.
You + your story + your body have unique needs. Angela offers person-centered integrative approaches to trauma recovery, and especially work with the nervous system and bigger systems of oppression. These approaches work with your body’s natural processing cycles, rather than trying to change them.

Angela is a holistic therapist with over 10 years of social work experience.
